Housing starts in Anacortes are few and far between these days (most of 2009, for that matter). I took this construction photo last week in the San Juan Passage subdivision, located above the state ferry terminal on the west end of the city.

Houses coming
Orange barrier tape stands as evidence of change to come on acreage west of “H” Avenue on the way to Heart Lake. This grassy slope will be the site of several dozen homes on the south side of 41st Street.
