Kayak race

Among more than 100 kayakers involved in the Sunday morning Deception Pass Dash was this competitor, who opted to fight the elements with a seasonal Santa’s cap. The six-mile race started at Bowman’s Bay, looped around Deception Island, beneath Deception Pass Bridge, around Strawberry Island, through Canoe Pass and back to Bowman’s Bay. Kayaking Sunset

This young kayaker made his way along the busy shoreline at Sunset Beach, a gathering spot for dozens of folks last weekend. Activities at Washington Park range from camping and Loop Road walking to picnicking and boating. Always a great place to be on a sunny day.
