Danny Shook of Camano Island kept his Sunday “appointment” to do some fly fishing on Pass Lake, despite temperatures that left much of the lake covered with a thin layer of ice.
Among more than 100 kayakers involved in the Sunday morning Deception Pass Dash was this competitor, who opted to fight the elements with a seasonal Santa’s cap. This young kayaker made his way along the busy shoreline at Sunset Beach, a gathering spot for dozens of folks last weekend. Activities at Washington Park range from camping and Loop Road walking to picnicking and boating. Always a great place to be on a sunny day.
