Trail fix under way, ADA accessible

A repair and resurfacing project is under way in the dunes area of Deception Pass State Park near Cranberry Lake. The ADA trail was no longer accessible to wheelchairs, with tree roots pushing up through the asphalt. Lakeside road

This winding road leads to and from the West Beach area of Deception Pass State Park. Running parallel to the road along the shore of Cranberry Lake is a pedestrian path just inches from water’s edge.

Shoreline path

This fenced pathway is just part of new shoreline improvements being made in conjunction with the San Juan Passage residential development overlooking the state ferry terminal at Ship Harbor.
