Carver shares
Among working artists at the 2010 Anacortes Arts Festival was sculptor Tracy Powell, pictured here allowing a boy to strike his chisel on a piece of stone. Among Powell’s many works is the “Maiden of Deception Pass” story pole at Rosario Beach.

Maiden dedication
I was there with my camera when the “Maiden of Deception Pass” story pole was unveiled at Rosario Beach in Deception Pass State Park many years ago.
