Red-winged playground

This was the scene today at a wetlands restoration project on March’s Point Road, just across the highway from Similk Beach Golf Course. The corner and adjacent land are part of Shell Puget Sound Refinery’s wetlands restoration area. Cattails are a favorite perch among redwinged blackbirds.
