Work resumes on Deception Pass bridges
After a brief winter hiatus, contractors are at work once again doing maintenance, repair and paint work on the bridges at Deception Pass. This is a photo of the west face of Canoe Pass, being “dressed up” for work that includes chipping and grinding of old paint.

Trestle repair continues
Repair work continues on the trestle that bisects Fidalgo Bay as part of the Tommy Thompson Trail. Evidence of the community’s love of the trestle mounts as donations toward a $300,000 repair goal have now passed the $200,000 mark. For more information, see www.anacortesparksfoundation.org.
