Windy winter day
What an amazing afternoon at Rosario Beach, the Fidalgo side of Deception Pass State Park. The powerful combination of wind and sea are always impressive.
Wind on the water
Waves crash on the shoreline of the Rosario Beach area, south Fidalgo Island. It was nice to see blue skies Saturday afternoon, even if it was windy and cold.

Dock action
It was “fish on!” at the dock at Rosario Beach Park the other day when I visited for photos of the Rosario marine station, a satellite campus of Walla Walla College.
Rosario tidepools
The combination of sun, free time and amazing tidepools draws thousands each summer to Rosario Beach on South Fidalgo. Standing in the foreground of this photo are interpretive signs to help educate those on their way to a shoreline adventure.
