This hand-crafted model of the Schooner Bluenose stands proudly in a window of the Adrift restaurant downtown. The Bluenose was a commercial fishing vessel that gained renown as the fastest ship on the East Coast. The Bluenose II was launched in 1964.

I got a few nice photos, but I didn’t get the name of this beautiful schooner, pushing up the Guemes Channel toward Anacortes on a rainy, gray Monday afternoon.
