Seahawk flies over Seahawks
This osprey, nicknamed the “seahawk,” flew over an Anacortes Seahawks baseball game last week on its ways home with dinner.

Osprey days
Ospreys, otherwise known as “seahawks,” are making themselves known all over the city these days. My sightings within the past week have been at Ship Harbor, Cap Sante Marina and AHS Memorial Plaza overlooking the stadium. An amazing, beatiful bird with a distinctive call.

Back to the nest
I was glad to have my camera ready when this osprey circled and then returned to its nest Saturday morning. There was lots of chatter between the nest and another “seahawk” perched on a nearby snag. Beautiful birds, fascinating to watch!
