Lined up together at the docks of Ship Harbor are state ferries Sealth, Yakima and Samish. Another beautiful afternoon in Anacortes!
A Port of Anacortes tour to a dredging site last week provided opportunity for this view of the state ferry “Sealth” in drydock on the Guemes Channel.
The tugboat Hercules is tied up on the Guemes Channel, situated between the state ferry “Sealth” in drydock and a barge crew dredging for Dakota Creek Industries. Painted-over lettering on the stern testifies to the tug’s one-time residence in San Francisco.
Work continues on the state ferry “Sealth,” currently in drydock on the Guemes Channel. Earlier this week crews installed this new propeller shaft on the vessel, visible from the south end of Commercial Avenue. Dakota Creek Industries is contracted for maintenance and repair work on the ferry.
Repair work on the state ferry Sealth continues at Dakota Creek Shipyard in Anacortes. The Sealth was damaged on Christmas Eve 2004 when it ran aground near Friday Harbor.
