Stripe sharpening

While south Commercial Avenue construction work continues, activity on the north end included re-striping of center lines by a city crew. Just in time for Shipwreck Day, the giant garage sale set for Saturday, July 18 in the downtown area.

Shipwreck treasures

There were light showers early Saturday morning, but vendors and “clients” at the Anacortes Shipwreck Day enjoyed a rain-free day of treats on the street. As always, tools and marine gear were among the treasures at this Chamber of Commerce event.

Downtown throngs

Beautiful weather and the burning desire to score on a bargain drove thousands to Commercial Avenue in downtown Anacortes Saturday for another great Shipwreck Day.
