Fall Boat Show

“Find Your Boat Here,” as the yellow sign suggests, was the goal of brokers hosting the 2011 Anacortes Spring Boat Show. The show, held at Cap Sante Boat Haven under blue skies, wraps up Sunday after a three-day run.

Boats and miscellaneous marine-related products and services are on display this weekend at Cap Sante Boat Haven. There is no charge for the 2011 Anacortes Spring Boat Show, which opened Friday and runs through Sunday, March 20.

Come aboard

Hundreds of guests responded Saturday to a “welcome aboard” message extended for the free Anacortes Floating Boat Show at Cap Sante Boat Haven in downtown Anacortes. The show continues Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to display boats, features of the show include seafood and vendor exhibits.

Spring Boat Show

Hundreds of guests stepped aboard dozens of boats over the last three days as local business people hosted the spring edition of the Anacortes Floating Boat Show. This free event is held at Cap Sante Boat Haven, one of the busiest public marinas in the Northwest.

Steam power

This steam fire engine, once owned by 20th Century Fox, “starred” in the films “Hello Dolly” and “Old Chicago.” Saturday it was a star at the 11th Annual Anacortes Antique Engine & Machinery Show. Quilt show in Anacortes

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival spilled over onto the shores of Fidalgo Island in a big way with the 2005 Anacortes Quilt Show Friday and Saturday. The event, held at Anacortes Middle School, drew hundreds of quilters and enthusiasts. See more photos later in Activities section.

Floating Boat Show

Cap Sante Marina is always a good place to be on a sunny weekend in Anacortes, but this weekend is even more special as guests are invited to the 3-day free Floating Boat Show. Dozens of beautiful boats, from sailboat to yachts, are on display through Sunday, March 21.
