Spirit of Yorktown

Currently in drydock at Dakota Creek Industries is the CruiseWest “Spirit of Yorktown.” According to the Cruise West website, the Spirit of Yorktown is one of the company’s newest overnight vessels, with a year-round cruising schedule that takes it as far north as Alaska and south, into Mexico’s marine-life-filled Sea of Cort

What a difference a day makes! I shot this photo of the Spirit of 98 24 hours after an initial shot that featured hazy skies. “Presentation” is much more appealing to the eye…

Spirit of 98

Up and out of the water at Dakota Creek Industries shipyard this week is the Spirit of 98, a vessel owned and operated by CruiseWest. I look forward to a day soon when I can take a photo like this one … only with blue skies and billowy clouds as a backdrop.

Spirit of Columbia

The 143-foot, 78-passenger Spirit of Columbia (foreground) made a stop in Anacortes yesterday, tying up in front of the state ferry Kittitas.
