This sunflower spent a couple of days at our house in a “holding pattern” until it could be delivered as a gift.

Afternoon sun on our largest sunflower drew me to the garden. When I got there I discovered this bee, extremities coated in pollen. No matter how close I got with the camera, he stayed with the job. I’m thinking flight wasn’t an option…
