April 1 sunset, Mt. Baker

What a beautiful gift April 1 delivered: a sun-splashed Mt. Baker with details that later gave way to the fading light of sunset. From the south side of Anacortes, about 7:40 p.m.

This young kayaker made his way along the busy shoreline at Sunset Beach, a gathering spot for dozens of folks last weekend. Activities at Washington Park range from camping and Loop Road walking to picnicking and boating. Always a great place to be on a sunny day.

Brilliant exit
