Forest solitude

Light, shadows, colors, textures, songbirds. I needed this time alone on a forest trail. On the way to and from home, I captured images to share, knowing that many are inside, 24-7.

Marine textures

Time and the Northwest marine environment have taken a toll on a warehouse near water’s edge in Anacortes. Rusty nails, pipe and twisted metal strip are contrasted against chipped and faded paint on siding.

Madrona

I have always loved the madrona tree, a Northwest wonder. Childhood memories include neighborhood expeditions to collect the smooth, brown bark.
