Among my “great escapes” from work is a short walk from home to the city/county line at the top of the hill. Today I was greeted by a goat and horse, both of which took their own break from a Scotch broom snack to welcome me at the fenceline.
This is a familiar family of flags to those who travel to and from Anacortes on a routine basis. Tourist numbers will begin to climb as spring unfolds. This weekend, for example, the Tulip Festival brings Quilt Show participants to town.
