A model orca took its place at the Commercial Avenue office of the Mystic Sea Charters whale watching business this weekend. The whale is positioned above the office door, just below a huge jawbone from a 100-foot blue whale.
Thanks to Monte Hughes of Mystic Sea Charters, visitors to Anacortes can now view a giant whale jawbone on the west exterior wall of the Chamber of Commerce building at 9th and Commercial Avenue. The skeletal relic was mounted by volunteers on the same day the community Christmas tree went up.
