A sailboat returns to Cap Sante Boat Haven Saturday evening while other boats continue competition on Fidalgo Bay. The Anacortes Yacht Club holds its annual Windermere Regatta every June. Windermere open house

Mayor Dean Maxwell, scissors in hand, “presided” over a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new Windermere real estate office on Commercial Avenue Thursday. Owner/broker Nate Scott and his wife Wendy (pictured with the mayor) hosted the evening as a Chamber of Commerce “after hours” event.

Construction pace quickens

Construction crews continue work in earnest at the former location of Paul’s Motel on Commercial Avenue. The new building will house Windermere Real Estate offices, a title company and others.
