Ferry winter schedule begins

The Anacortes/San Juan Islands route will run on a new winter schedule starting Sunday, Dec. 29. Washington State Ferries (WSF) reports that this change “marks the first update in more than a decade to help improve on-time service.” Weekend interisland service was also added for the winter. Kennewick meets Chieftain

Washington State Ferry “Kennewick” departs Port Townsend as classic wooden boat replica “Hawaiian Chieftain” sails by. This beautiful seaside community was celebrating an annual music festival. Yakima at DCI for scheduled maintenance

The state ferry “Yakima” is currently in drydock at Dakota Creek Industries (DCI) in Anacortes for scheduled maintenance. According to Washington State Ferries (WSF) it is estimated to return to service on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route in mid-October.
