Improv Comedy Group

Members of a group known as the Improv Comedy Group are renowned in this community for their support of local organizations ranging from Youth Dynamics to the Anacortes High School Drama Department. Participating Saturday night in the annual YD fund-raising banquet were Martin Iverson, Craig Clark and Brian Geer. Martin is a physical therapist/videographer/emcee; Craig and his wife Beth own The Mercantile; Brian works for the Swinomish Tribe and serves on the Anacortes City Council. The group’s performances are modeled after the television program “Who’s Line Is It, Anyway?” Don’t miss any of their events. They’re great … and family friendly.

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
