Finishing touches on yacht

Finish work continues on the “Magic,” a custom-designed yacht built by Northern Marine, Inc. of Anacortes. This beautiful multi-million dollar vessel moved “outside” this week after months of construction in the hangar to the left. The 130-foot Magic is a Ward Setzer designed tri-deck custom motor yacht. A large marbled tile foyer welcomes all at the main deck level. Forward of the salon area is a large dining area that will accommodate up to 10 guests. The galley includes a center island, walk-in pantry and a dumb waiter. An office and guest powder room are located across from the galley area. The stateroom, with his and hers facilities, is just forward of the galley area and runs the full width of the yacht. Four guest staterooms, each with en-suite baths, are located on the lower deck. Four additional crew staterooms and large crew

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
