She’ll probably look even prettier under sunny skies, but this new yacht in front of Northern Marine is “eye candy” to the boat enthusiast even under a blanket of rain clouds.

Yacht sees light of day

This 152-foot yacht, built by Northern Marine, Inc. of Anacortes, was moved outside over the weekend. For a sense of the vessel’s size, note worker on top. Northern Marine owner Gilbert Villarreal touts the boat as the largest Fiberglas vessel ever built on Fidalgo Island.

Yacht in the making

A partially opened door at Northern Marine, Inc. the other day yielded a glimpse of a new yacht under construction. I counted four vessels in total inside the huge building on 42nd Street near Fidalgo Bay.

Finishing touches on yacht

Finish work continues on the “Magic,” a custom-designed yacht built by Northern Marine, Inc. of Anacortes.
