What a gorgeous Martin Luther King Day! I didn’t get the day off, but I did take the opportunity to swing by Cap Sante to take advantage of the winter morning light I love so much (too few this season!). Those of you Anacortesans who do have the day off should take advantage of the break for a winter walk somewhere on this beautiful island. If it’s a bit brisk for you, at least do a driving tour. I recommend the loop road at Washington Park. And don’t forget to acknowledge this federal holiday, recalling (if you’re old enough to remember the Sixties) or reading about the contributions a young Christian minister by the name of Martin Luther King, Jr. made to this nation.
