Anacortes wins state 2A championship
Wow! It doesn’t get any better. Anacortes High School football team claims first-ever state 2A Championship at Husky Stadium with an incredible 60-30 win over previously unbeaten Tumwater. Congratulations!
High school football on to semifinals
The Anacortes Seahawks football team won big Friday night in front of an enthusiastic home crowd, defeating Orting 42-0 to advance to the state 2A semifinals. The undefeated Seahawks move on to play Enumclaw Saturday., 3 p.m. right here at the Anacortes High School stadium (Rice Field).
Music for the masses
High on the list of “home field” advantages at a local football game is a marching band to crank up the crowd! Once again the Anacortes High School musicians delivered with style at Friday’s game against Lynden.
Class of 2021 sets sights on June 16
The Anacortes High School Class of 2021 graduation ceremony will be held in person at Seahawk Stadium (ticket holders ONLY) and livestreamed Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 6 p.m. Congratulations, ‘Hawks!

It was Senior Night at Anacortes High School’s Williams Gym as the Seahawks wrestling team hosted Squalicum Storm for the last home match of the season. Members of the AHS Class of Sixty gathered Saturday night to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their commencement. Among reunion leaders was Class President Ken Moore (kneeling, foreground), who received a gift of appreciation from class members for his organization of reunions over the years.
