What a delight it was on this day to have time to park the car and still get out onto Canoe Pass Bridge for this photo. Beautiful blue, towering bluffs … and two courageous kayakers.

Bridge arch under wraps
What almost appears to be white bandages is a protective “catch fabric” spread beneath Canoe and Deception Pass bridges during an extensive repair and paint project. This photo of Canoe Pass Bridge was taken from the North Beach area of Deception Pass State Park, Whidbey Island.
