Fortunately for those who love classic boats, the Lady Washington stops in for brief visits to Anacortes at least a couple of times each year. This photograph was taken at 8 p.m. Thursday. I’ll see in the morning whether the visit was simply an overnight stay.
I took this photo of the Lady Washington arriving in Anacortes under sail in April 1991. The photograph was taken from Port of Anacortes Pier 1, a red safety light in the foreground. The Lady Washington has been a regular – and popular – visitor to our community for many years.
