Often on our drives from Anacortes to/from “the east side” we play a little game we call “Hawk Patrol,” counting hawks as we go. There are many hawks along the Highway 20 corridor, but even more when you travel into Skagit farm areas.

Skagit Valley’s beautiful tulips are bursting forth, even though there will be no “big show” this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. I took this photo 10 years ago, intend to do “driveby” photos soon.
