The morning started out gray, but it was a wonderful day for runners, as this group participating in the Tesoro March Point Run learned over the course of 5K and 10K courses. Tesoro sponsors this early summer community run each year, attracting a combination of serious runners, recreational runners, families and children. More photos later.

Anacortes High School alum Maren Hanson took home hardware for the second consecutive year at the 2011 Tesoro March Point Run. Maren was overall winner in the women’s division of the 10K. Other competitive divisions included the 5K and the children’s half-mile. The race took place Saturday morning on March Point.
