It was fun yesterday to be focused on offshore geese, only to find this little Merganser paddle its way through in the opposite direction. “All good, mates.” Ship Harbor shoreline. Canada Geese, Hooded Merganser.
Recently installed at Kiwanis Waterfront Park in Anacortes is “Continental Drift,” a spherical piece created by Steve Lloyd. This artwork, composed entirely of driftwood collected in this region, joins Leo Osborne’s “Windsong,” located just down the beach at the edge of the Guemes Channel. The art pieces are visible from Skagit County’s Guemes ferry terminal.
