This was a wonderful evening. I set up on the rocks at the end of 5th Street. Then the parade of sailboats got under way, Mt. Baker providing the perfect backdrop. Seems like only yesterday!

Following right behind welders in production of ships at Dakota Creek Industries are those who grind seams down to a smooth surface. Labor intensive, to be sure. And the “Made in America” tag is applied proudly.

The pace of new construction and home alterations is steady in Anacortes. There were 36 single family residential permits issued in July, compared to 29 in July 2019.
