Snow is the exception rather than the rule on Fidalgo Island. A bit of sleet yesterday inspired me to search the files, where I located these images from December 2008.
It was April 2008 when renowned Northwest sculptor Gerard Tsutakawa and team delivered the sculpture “Annie Curtis” to its home at Cap Sante Marina. A beautiful day for placement and unveiling, with many arts community and Port of Anacortes dignitaries on hand.
An American Construction bucket crane and barge “Skagit” are at work near the Tommy Thompson Trail at the former site of the Publishers plywood mill.
