City celebrates new arch: July 2005

The Fourth of July 2005 was particularly memorable for Anacortes residents who took part in dedication of a new arch welcoming visitors to this island community. The Chamber of Commerce and City of Anacortes partnered to host a dedication party, followed by a gathering of citizens for the annual “Town Photo” by the Anacortes American.

Shipwrecked! Music Fest

Ten-plus bands and solo performers are bringing free music to downtown Anacortes Saturday, July 17 from noon to 8 p.m. at Causland Memorial Park. Artists include RTurner, Enduro, Gift Machine, Fieldboats, Reptile Authority, Karl Blau, Lazer Zeppelin III, Ebb, Slack & Flood, Young Hunks, The Enthusiasts and Fanny Alger. Hosted by Anacortes Music Project.
