Cap Sante is always an interesting place to be, but particularly on Spring and Summer nights when boating activity is heavy. My Wednesday evening visit included opportunity to photograph sailors participating in a race. The skippers likely would have preferred more wind, but for this observe, the weather was perfect!

A group of three rowers, masks in place, returns to Cap Sante Marina Friday after a Fidalgo Bay outing. An impressive jaunt, from what I observed from Seafarers’ Memorial Park.

Early morning view of Mt. Baker from the Anacortes shoreline of Fidalgo Bay.
Another beautiful fall morning on Fidalgo Bay! A therapeutic walk on the Tommy Thompson Trail, including the former railroad trestle from March’s Point. Among the birds I saw were blue herons, ducks, loons, killdeer and hawk. Placid waters and morning light made for a natural “studio” setting.

Anacortes guests enjoy a sail aboard the Adventuress, summer of 2016. What a beauty!
This was a wonderful evening. I set up on the rocks at the end of 5th Street. Then the parade of sailboats got under way, Mt. Baker providing the perfect backdrop. Seems like only yesterday!
