Hearty fishermen such as these aren’t likely to let a small thing like April 1 hail get in the way of a Sunday afternoon adventure on Pass Lake. Numbers will build now as winter gives way to spring on this beautiful lake on the edge of State Route 20.

I have friends who fish from the shore at Deception Pass Park’s North Beach. Yesterday I watched a young man fish from the rocky shoreline at Oahu’s famous North Shore. Never did see him pull anything in. A watched fisherman never catches?
A Cranberry afternoon
On an afternoon when I chose to take a hike around Little Cranberry Lake, Billy Nestle and Torre Spitali opted for fishing. I don’t know if they caught anything, but my catch included some nice photos and the opportunity to exercise my legs. Every visit to this beautiful lake yields rewards.
