Fishing Pass Lake: 2013

My notes show that this trip went well for this Pass Lake fisherman, whose stand-up technique brought in at least one catch.

Father/son outing

Seattle residents Don and Preston spent a few hours on Pass Lake Saturday. The drop a line in this catch-and-release lake about four times a year. No luck with fish today, but time spent fishing with a friend is always time well spent.

Noise free fishing

It’s a surprisingly large lake, so even when there are a couple of dozen fishermen it never seems crowded at Pass Lake in Deception Pass State Park. Fly fishermen flock to the lake during fair weather months, some pushing around in floats and other in the traditional rowboat.

Pass Lake action

Hearty fishermen such as these aren’t likely to let a small thing like April 1 hail get in the way of a Sunday afternoon adventure on Pass Lake. Numbers will build now as winter gives way to spring on this beautiful lake on the edge of State Route 20.
