Sunny day, news to me

I wasn’t expecting a day of sunshine, but when I pulled up the blinds I immediately determined to grab my camera and take a drive. Among photographic “rewards” were the sightings of four bald eagles, one pictured here as it leaves its shoreline perch. Also spotted two hawks, Canada geese and a number of shorebirds.

Triker dudes on Tommy Thompson Trail

What a privilege today to run into recumbent trike buddies Larry and Rick. We were all on the Tommy Thompson Trail, celebrating the sun! The two Vietnam War vets are part of a larger group of “trikers” who roll along local trails and byways. “Welcome home,” guys!

Once again this year the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce and partners including a hardworking crew of volunteers placed Christmas lights downtown in preparation for the holiday season.
