Grandson Jake loves cars and planes, so when we spotted this Cessna Citation Mustang over the Guemes Channel yesterday morning I quickly handed off my camera so he could do the honors of “documenting” its visit. Go Seahawks! I had a treat today at Ship Harbor when I discovered six ospreys gliding over Ship Harbor at low tide. One of them went into “hover mode,” then dove successfully for lunch. Two of these beauties headed east, four toward the wetlands west of the ferry terminal.
Dog’s best friend. This pup was in dog heaven Sunday morning as he and his master walked the tideflats to water’s edge at Ship Harbor. Lots to explore along the way before the ultimate frolic in the surf.

State ferry Yakima arrives in Anacortes in light rain Saturday morning. Activity at the terminal reflected a return to the summer schedule. Not sure about ridership figures, but I assume they are lighter due to COVID-19 restrictions.
