This was the scene Friday afternoon at the base of the gangway at Cap Sante Boat Haven. The marina will come alive March 29 and 30 as hundreds of people gather to compete in the 2008 Anacortes Salmon Derby.
Hundreds of guests stepped aboard dozens of boats over the last three days as local business people hosted the spring edition of the Anacortes Floating Boat Show. This free event is held at Cap Sante Boat Haven, one of the busiest public marinas in the Northwest.
Preparations are well under way for the arrival of another piece of public art in Anacortes. A 20-foot sculpture by Seattle artist Gerard Tsutakawa will soon be placed on this pedestal near the Harbormaster’s Office at Cap Sante Boat Haven.
